MATERIAL METAMORPHOSIS AT JAM FACTORY

With an overarching theme of recycling and sustainability, Material Metamorphosis showcases the diverse ways in which artists reuse and repurpose common waste materials to produce innovative craft and design objects.

Select works from Numbulwar Numburindi Arts were chosen for their innovative use of reclaimed ghost nets in traditional weaving practices. The show will feature a range of pieces from wulbung (baskets) to Lharagula Ngididin (Crocodile Trap).

Artists Joy Wilfred, Rose Wilfred, Megan Wilfred, Mawungumain Nundhirribala and Yulki Nunggumajbarr are joined by contemporary creators Lisa Furno, Peta Kruger and Xanthe Murphy.
